It's been said that life cannot be fully experienced with out a healthy relationship with death. We know intellectually that tomorrow isn't promised, but so often, we avoid this kind of thinking in every day life. What different decisions would you make today if you knew that tomorrow wasn't available?

These are all REAL comments about me. I took them personally. I internalized the pain. It was awful. Today's podcast is about the second of The Four Agreements (by don Miguel Ruiz) which is DON'T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY.
We often talk about the importance of cultivating our mind and taking care of our body, but we rarely discuss the relationship between the two. Isaiah Fliessbach, an advocate and practitioner of True Body Intelligence, comes on the show and discusses how we actually store our unresolved emotions in our body.
That's slang for the first of The Four Agreements in Don Miguel Ruiz's classic guide to freedom. BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD.
In this Risk Friday, Kristy explains what this agreement entails and invites you to take a risk - DON'T COMPLAIN FOR ONE WEEK! Can you do it?

Every Friday I share a piece of wisdom and challenge you to RISK. Today, it's about receiving, which I know is difficult for many of you guys. But when we refuse to receive, we are not allowing people the experience of giving love to us.
Ever wondered what holds us back? Ever ask yourself, "Why do I keep doing this?" "Why am I so afraid?" Most likely, the answers are in your subconscious. One way to access these answers is through hypnotherapy.
Elliot Roe is a hypnotherapist who has worked with hundreds of people including poker players, UFC champions, Olympians, golfers, and financial professionals. He assists them in removing mental blocks, conquering anxiety, and realizing their potential.
Kristy records a live hypnotherapy session with Elliot to address a mental block regarding pressure to perform. On today's podcast she shares parts of the session and interviews Elliot afterwards.
Risk with me, every Friday on the WTF Am I Doing With My Life? Podcast! There is no use in knowledge if it goes unpracticed. Tune in for nuggets of wisdom and a challenge to shift your life.
"...Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
from 'A Return To Love' (1992) by Marianne Williamson

As 2016 comes to a close and I begin to dream about 2017, I am so excited that Ed O'Keefe's book, "Time Collapsing: The New Art of Speed, Power, Money, and Meaning" has come into my life. And my hope is you'll walk away from this last interview of the year with a new perspective to make 2017 your best yet.
Not only is Ed a father of 7 (all under the age of 12), he's an incredibly successful entrepreneur. He went from completely broke to cracking the code to starting and taking multiple businesses from zero to multiple 7 and 8 figures. Over the years, with his passion for studying high performers and through his own business experience, he has distilled down the time-collapsing strategies that help people get from point A to point B with record speed.
In this interview, Ed talks about:
The holiday season can be stressful. The travel. The family. The shopping. All of it. But it doesn't have to be.
On this podcast, I talk about how to shift our mindset in a way that we can have the BEST holiday ever.

What I know for sure is that what stands in the way between what we say we want and what we have is almost always fear. And the way we move past fear is through RISK. Looking back at my life, I realize now that the biggest risk I ever took was for my marriage. I fought for it. What it required was risking getting hurt again. Lots of people told me I was stupid for staying, but I knew what I wanted. It sure as hell wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
All the time, we hear people saying, "Be yourself!" or "Just be confident!"
But does that actually mean? And how do we do that?
Relationship coach and author Aaron Steinberg has the answer, and it's PRACTICING HONESTY.
"Where you feel like you would have to take a risk to communicate what you're thinking or what you're feeling, take that risk," says Aaron.
Also in this podcast, we talk about
-Why we stop being honest in the first place
-What happens when we tell little lies to ourselves and others
-Why "picking our battles" is bull shit
To learn more about Aaron, go to his website or get his book, The Honesty Practice on Amazon.
Check out Aaron's other interview on the WTF Am I Doing with My Life? Podcast where he talks about conflict as an opportunity.
Whether you are a CEO, a teacher, a mom, a coach, or an ice cream scooper, your speaking skills are important. Our ability to communicate effectively affects our relationships, career and self-esteem. And the great part about it is that with practice, ANYONE can be a great speaker.
Grant Baldwin, a professional speaker, entrepreneur, author, and family man has taught hundreds of people this skill because he knows first hand that speakers are not born, they are grown. Years ago when his wife (high school sweetheart) was five-months pregnant with his first daughter, Grant made the decision to quit his job to find something he was passionate about doing.
On this podcast, Grant talks about:
The excitement/pressure during the time he was soul searching
How he knew his calling was to be a speaker
The first steps in becoming a professional speaker
What to do if you freeze while speaking

Last week, I drove down to Tijuana to visit a few of my friends who did this crazy thing and bought a hospital (my friends are kind of crazy, but the good kind. Passionate crazy). So of course, this isn't just any hospital. It's a groundbreaking cancer-research hospital that specializes in alternative medicine and Gerson Therapy and is going to revolutionize the way we treat cancer. It's called The Centro Hospitalario Internacional del Pacifico S.A., or CHIPSA and they are creating miracles. I don't know if I'd believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
One such miracle who I met on the trip is Ryan Luelf. He is a 35-year-old father of three, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 B-Cell non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma a little over a year ago. The treatment options available to him through traditional medicine were grim. In fact, Ryan’s own doctor stated that he had a higher chance of dying from chemotherapy than the lymphoma in the next 6 months.
Unwilling to accept those options, Ryan investigated his options, including the Gerson Therapy which is an all natural protocol developed my Dr. Max Gerson that utilizes an organic, plant-based diet, with raw juices, coffee enemas to strengthen the immune system and re-ignite the body’s ability to heal itself. He started that immediately and when he couldn't find alternative therapy in the U.S., that's when he went to CHIPSA.
He was diagnosed in October 2015 and tests from June have showed complete resolution in some areas and near complete resolution in others. Ryan says that in two weeks, he hopes to have scientific proof that he's 100% cancer free.
On the podcast, Ryan shares his story and talks about:

Bummers are inevitable, but it's the choices we make after that not only define who we are, but also create our future. Life coach and Rite-of-Passage Facilitator Chrissy Brady-Smith comes on the podcast to talk about how to turn a bummer into a breakthrough.

Without us even knowing, our thoughts, which can be crazy as f***, dictate how we feel and the actions (or lack thereof) that we take. In one 10 minute mindfulness meditation this week at the beach, I identified some of these. And they were wack.
